After graduating Mannes College of Music as a flute performance
major, studying with John Wummer and Harold Bennett, Howard Leshaw
studied orchestration and composition with Nicholas Flagello and
Adolph Sandole. His expertise continued as a staff musician for the CBS-TV show “Comedy Zone”, and was also featured in the PBS Special “In The Fiddler’s House”. As a saxophonist Howard Leshaw toured with the Jaki Byard Quartet, The Beach Boys, Frankie Valli, and Mel Torme. Howard Leshaw orchestrated a number of shows for producer Moe Septee including “Those Where The Days”, “Here’s to Danny”, a Danny Kaye review, “Tovah Feldshuh and Bruce Adler” and “Mickey Katz” featuring Joel Grey.

Howard Leshaw has also composed the music for the stage show “Infinite Jest”. He has performed as a woodwind player on thousands of sessions and concerts playing every kind of music imaginable. | |
